MorganBiography:John Crossley Morgan graduated from Albright College, and earned an M.A. in philosophy from Oberlin College, an M.Div from Andover Newton Theological School in Boston, and a D.Min from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Before entering the ministry he directed both inner city and programs for older adults and also was a working journalist. He has served congregations in Maine, Ohio, and Pennsylvania as well as a national denomination and two of its districts. He is "retired," but writes a regular newspaper column while also working with community groups. He has published eight books, the most being the first daily devotional book for Unitarian Universalists since 1898. He is contributing editor of The Universalist Herald, the oldest, continuously published magazine for religious liberals. He is married and has a son and two daughters, and two grandchildren.Richard Lyon Morgan graduated from Davidson College, and earned M.Div, Th.M., and Ph.D. degrees from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, and the M.A. in Counseling degree from Wake Forest University. After a career that included pastorates in churches in Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina, and counseling and teaching positions in several colleges, Dr. Morgan "retired" to devote his energies to writing and older adult ministry. He has served as a chaplain in a 120 bed nursing facility. Dr. Morgan is the author of six books published by Upper Room Books, with a new publication, It's Better Than I Thought: Journey to a Retirement Community, to be published in 2007 by Upper Room Books.
