Born to an Australian family, Philip Murphy was raised and educated in Hong Kong before completing a law degree followed by a theology degree in the United Kingdom. After nineteen years of parish work in the Anglican Church in England and Australia, Philip has been employed in the not for profit sector and is a member of the Victorian Government's Ministerial Advisory Council on Homelessness. Philip has led numerous pilgrimages to the Holy Land and continues to enjoy international travel. He has a strong interest in the arts and is a patron of Opera Australia. He also has experience in radio broadcasting, film and television work and voice overs.
