About-

'Christian Mysteries' offers a clear and concise exposition of eight teachings (doctrines) held in common by historic Christian churches, including Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, and Evangelical churches. Focusing on doctrines held in common, the book also indicates points of difference between Christian traditions. It also contains Biblical background information and additional resources for each teaching or doctrine considered. The book is grounded in the author's study of Christian history and contemporary Christian churches and in his participation in ecumenical dialogue. Endorsements & Reviews-

'Ted Campbell does a masterful job in highlighting key doctrinal issues, which have been central to the historical Christian tradition. By surveying perspectives from various traditions, Campbell provides the reader with an easy-to-read and easy-to-follow overview that can be comprehended by lay reader and scholar alike. In a day in which doctrine is downplayed as not being "user-friendly" enough, it's refreshing to find a writer who is willing to tackle this topic in a way that is concise and clear!'

Dr. Charles Moore, President, Northern Seminary (American Baptist Churches)

'I believe this book would be a good resource for committed Catholics engaged in ecumenical dialogue on a local level because it demonstrates that the thinking on the issues that divide the Christian churches is very complex. It will be useful also for parish leadership in faith formation to have a familiarity with what has been accomplished in ecumenical dialogue with other churches and also with what remains in question. It should further the cause of ecumenical understanding and mutual appreciation.'

The Most Reverend Alex J. Brunett, Archbishop of Seattle (Catholic Church)

'Ted Campbell's clear exposition of the depth of Christian truth follows a firm Trinitarian and creedal tradition. It provides an excellent invitation and guidance, which is scriptural and classical yet also positioned within contemporary ecumenical debates. The fruit of many years teaching and writing, this small but big book promises to be widely used and appreciated by lay people, students, pastors, and teachers of theology today.'

Bishop Sukenari Iwamoto, Bishop (retired) of the Free Methodist Church in Japan and Chancellor of Osaka Christian College and Seminary
