About-

Contextualisation & Mission Training
Engaging Asia's Religious Worlds

Contextualisation and Mission Training offers "contextual frameworks" and "explorations" in order to enhance deeper engagement with the complexity of Asian social, cultural and religious systems. When we take contextualisation theories seriously, how does it change the way we prepare and train cross cultural workers? Without claiming definitive answers, this book seeks to raise pertinent and controversial issues to do with some of the challenges facing the Asian church in engaging with the religious contexts of Asia.

Endorsements & Reviews-

A tour de force in Contextualisation and Mission Training. The editors call the church back to its missional telos, but in a way that is grounded theologically and relevant contextually, with heart warming examples of innovative missionaries and mission educators who operate in complex multireligious and multicultural contexts in Asia.
--Yau Man Siew, PhD, Associate Professor of Christian Education & Formation Tyndale Seminary

A wonderful survey of insights and thoughtful reflection from around Asia on how contextualization might be best achieved in these settings.
-- Timothy Tennent Professor of World Christianity Asbury Theological Seminary

A superb resource for missionary training for Asian churches with Asian cultural, social and religious context taken seriously.
--Wonsuk Ma, Executive Director, Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, Oxford, UK
