Cultural Encounters

Cultural Encounters is a new, ground-breaking journal offering a biblically informed, Christ-centered, Trinitarian engagement with contemporary culture. Many of the finest scholars of today will be addressing a wide variety of cultural issues in this new bi-annual journal. The variety of topics to be addressed includes religious pluralism, racialization, materialism, poverty, sexuality, genetic engineering, post- modernity, public discourse, politics and more.

Cultural Encounters is a publication of the Institute for the Theology of Culture: New Wine, New Wineskins, which is an official program of Multnomah Biblical Seminary.

Cultural Encounters seeks essays that display creativity, scholarly acumen, originality, an ability to engage our readership, and potential to spark and sustain further scholarship. Article content must be culturally relevant. Topics of discussion include but not limited to religious pluralism, racialism, materialism, poverty, the increased urbanization of the world, the environment, cross-cultural contextualization, and more.
