This volume includes Scrivener's 'Introduction to the Cambridge Paragraph Bible' of 1873 with some additions and corrections. The result of seven years of labor, this was an original attempt to construct a critical edition of the Authorized Bible of 1611.
Frederick H. Scrivener
Frederick Scrivener (1813-1891) was one of the great textual critics of the nineteenth century. A contemporary of Westcott and Hort, Scrivener differed from them in his preference for the Majority text. He played a key role in the formation of the English Revised Version. Scrivener is also known as one of the great publishers of ancient manuscripts.
