Dr Christie's book deals with the subject of marital abuse in a different and almost interactive way with readers. The mandate of this book is to help battered wives in unbearable abusive marriages to put a halt to their descent into the bottomless abyss that life has drawn them into; and realize there is a way up, out and onward, thus empowering them. Above all, the book provides the path to healing after abuse and taking charge of one's future.
Dr. Latha Christie has been a scientist in Defence R&D, Ministry of Defence, India, for over 30 years and is Associate Director, MTRDC, Bangalore. She holds an MS and PhD in Aerospace Engineering (IISc, Bangalore), BE with honors (GCE, TN), M.Div (SABC, Bangalore), and MA (Christian Studies, MU, Chennai). She received the Prof. Satish Dhawan Award, 2014, for engineering sciences. She is a speaker, counselor, and author of over 60 international publications.
