Andrew J. Cheatle is Presbyter in the British Methodist Church, living in Manchester. Andrew served as a minister in a Danish church just outside Copenhagen, Denmark for four years before moving to Manchester in order to minister in one of the city's troubled areas. He was born and schooled in Bolton, Lancashire before training as an engineer; becoming a skilled machine worker and welder. Following a call into the ministry, he trained at European Nazarene College on the border of Germany and Switzerland, later completing MA studies in Manchester, focused on Wesleyan theology. Andrew is currently Lecturer in Pastoral Theology at Liverpool Hope University and is part of the new Institute of Pastoral Theology, where he is developing postgraduate courses in homiletics. Andrew has a Danish wife and three grown-up children. He speaks fluent Danish and has taught and translated Danish professionally.
