Stephen J. Costello, is a prolific philosopher, writer, psychoanalyst, corporate consultant, and founder-director of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Ireland, which offers internationally accredited courses in logotherapy and existential analysis. Dr. Costello was educated at St. Gerard’s School, Castleknock College, and University College Dublin. He has addressed two parliaments, is the author of thirteen books, and has thirty years’ experience lecturing philosophy and leading clinical as well as corporate workshops and seminars. He is also a certified enneagram practitioner and coach.
“A most valuable exposition, both theoretical and practical, of the essence of rhetoric and of techniques of communication, but also of the power of silence and meditation. No reader will come away from this book unchanged for the better. Costello is plainly a master of his craft.”
—John Dillon, Trinity College Dublin, emeritus
“In Between Speech and Silence, Stephen Costello has been able to draw on his great learning, as well as decades of practical experience in the field of communications, in combining detailed analyses of the various topics with practical steps for real-life application, and all of this carried out in a clear and very accessible manner. Costello successfully balances comprehensiveness with detail in ways that are both informative and practically useful.”
—Brendan O’Byrne, Trinity College
