Cindy Casalis is a long-time, avid student of the Scriptures. She has a MA in apologetics from Liberty University and another MA in linguistic context from the Israel Institute of biblical studies. Currently, she is focusing on Christ’s presence in the Jewish writings as witness to his messiahship for her doctoral studies (PhD) in biblical exposition at Liberty University.
John S. Knox has taught at several Christian universities on the East and West coasts of America. He has a PhD from the University of Birmingham (UK) in theology and religion (sociology of religion), an MA in sociology from Arizona State University, and an MATS in Christianity, history, and thought from George Fox University.
“To a world which has traded the cold steel of chattel slavery for the chains of intellectual slavery, Casalis and Knox offers refreshing insight on the freedom one can experience with a life based on the truth of Jesus Christ. If you want to understand how to effectively conquer the lordship of sin, hatred, and despair being propagated in modern culture, this book is a must-read.”
—Jeffrey Childress, author of Deconverted: The Dismantling and Deconstruction of the Contemporary Church
“Casalis and Knox present us with an apologetic of freedom found only in Christ. They carefully work through the Old Testament Law and the concept of sin through the lens of grace, and they help the reader find true freedom only where it can be found—in the person and work of Christ. This book will foster a healthy dialogue between progressives and conservatives. A very helpful book for a small group discussion.”
—Tim Tsohantaridis, George Fox University, emeritus
