“By reading this entertaining story, the reader is transported to Nazi Germany with all the upheavals caused by two world wars. The story is well structured and gripping, with many unexpected twists, a surprising ending, and insights into the main character’s emotional life and the choices he has to make.”
—Alexander Higgs, journalist
“Adelbert Scholtz, with his brilliant academic record, surely knows how to write historical fiction. His stories are solidly structured, reliably researched, and eminently entertaining. He is able to recreate the past with words, and as a qualified psychologist and retired military chaplain, he creates credible characters who have to make difficult decisions in a chaotic war situation. He is destined to become a best-selling author of fiction.”
—Jan Nieder-Heitmann, theologian
