Christine Schirrmacher (PhD) is professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Bonn/Germany and Leuven/Belgium. She is currently also engaged with teaching at different government institutions and continuing education programs related to politics. She has been appointed by the German Federal Parliament to the “Council of the Federal Agency for Civic Education” and to the “Advisory Board of the German Institute for Human Rights”.
Prof. Dr. theol. Dr. phil. Thomas Schirrmacher, PhD, DD, (born 1960) is President of the International Council of the International Society for Human Rights, Frankfurt. He teaches as extraordinary professor of the sociology of religion at the state University of the West in Timisoara (Romania) and human rights and religious freedom at Oxford University (Regent’s Park College). In his religious role he is Bishop in Anglican rite and Associate Secretary General for Theological Concerns of the World Evangelical Alliance, which represents churches with
600 million Protestant Christians.
