Louis RoyLouis Roy, a Dominican friar, received a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. After teaching for twenty-one years at Boston College, he is now Professor of theology at Dominican University College in Ottawa, Canada.
He held the Lonergan Chair at Seton Hall University in the spring of 2019 and he was a Lonergan fellow at Boston College in the spring of 2020. He is interested in intellectual, affective, and mystical approaches to God, in faith and revelation, in interreligious dialogue, and in the relations between Christianity and cultures.
His recent books are Coherent Christianity: Toward an Articulate Faith, Embracing Desire, and The Feeling of Transcendence, an Experience of God?, all published by Wipf and Stock in Oregon.
