Slant launches out on its own as independent, not-for-profit press

Former Wipf and Stock imprint, Slant Books, has recently become its own fully independent, nonprofit book publisher. Slant has marked the occasion with a new logo and a list of exciting projects coming down the pike.

In a recent letter to readers, Slant’s Greg Wolfe writes, “We remain extraordinarily grateful to the entire staff of Wipf and Stock for their support over the past eight years, not to mention their generosity in helping us launch out on our own. There is no way we could have achieved our already considerable track record without their belief in our mission.” On the eve of Thanksgiving today, we also wish to express our gratitude for many fine years of partnership with Slant Books, a standout press in the literary world, and with a noble mission to boot. We wish Slant Books all the success in its ventures to come and many more years of publishing premier literary titles.

Slant’s website has also transitioned from web address slantbooks.com to slantbooks.org.

Wishing you all the best, Slant Books. We count you as a dear friend.
