About-

This ground-breaking volume of 16 contributions from leading child theologians, mission theologians and practitioners examines the constructive interaction of Theology, Mission and Child in fresh and intriguing ways. It is moving, profound, and practical, proposing not just ways theology can better inform mission praxis, particularly with children, but also ways 'child' can inform our understanding of God, God's mission, and ours. A vital resource for academics or non-academics, theologians, mission practitioners and Christians involved with children, this unique addition to the Regnum Edinburgh Centenary Series will interest anyone concerned with the challenges of life and mission in light of the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus.

Endorsements & Reviews-

This seminal work helps break the barriers between theology and mission while focusing attention on children in our many contexts. The reader is drawn into the darkness and evil in which so many children are caught, then led through a journey with Christ offering hope, reconciliation and redemption. It confronts us with the question, 'Will we stand with the child in the midst (Mt 18:1-9) and therefore stand with Jesus in his kingdom?'
-Rev Dr Geoff Tunnicliffe, Secretary General and CEO of the World Evangelical Alliance

People engaged with children, especially vulnerable children, rarely have time for theological or missiological reflection. Those traveling the various thoroughfares of theology or mission have not typically slowed to notice the child. Uniquely and thoughtfully, this book puts mission, theology and child in creative tension, provoking an imaginative yet demanding exploration of each, at every point in relation to the other two.
-Dr Dan Brewster, Director for Academic Programs for Compassion International

By employing a Triangle formed by 'Theology', 'Mission' and 'Child' this book will provide fresh impetus for theology, practice, and hermeneutical approaches based on Jesus placing a child in the midst of his disciples. Readers will find new ways of thinking simply because 'Child' is made one of the points in this Triangle.
-Dr Sunny Tan, Associate Dean and Lecturer at the Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary
