Where Wisdom May Be Found
The Eternal Purpose of Christian Higher Education
Edited by Edward P. Meadors
Imprint: Pickwick Publications
All Christian colleges and universities hail the integration of faith and learning as a premier mission objective. There is less agreement as to what the integration of faith and learning should look like in pedagogical and cross-disciplinary terms. This volume proposes that faith and learning are interrelated from the start. Discovery of truth within the academic disciplines cultivates discipline-specific wisdom that both accords with all reality and complements the whole counsel of God. Where Wisdom May Be Found brings together a faculty of twenty-seven accomplished voices from across curricula to celebrate each field's capacity for revealing wisdom from all corners of God's creative design. In synthesis, these voices declare the depth and richness of the wisdom and knowledge of God for the educational advancement and holistic equipping of the corporate people of God.
Edward P. Meadors is Professor of Biblical Studies at Taylor University. He is the author of Creation, Sin, Covenant, and Salvation (2011), Idolatry and the Hardening of the Heart (2006), and Jesus the Messianic Herald of Salvation (1995).

Impressive in its scope, thematic in its focus, and compelling in its presentation, Where Wisdom May Be Found will serve as a treasured resource for Christian educators and their students for years to come.”
—David S. Dockery, President, Trinity International University
“Most universities are really ‘multi-versities’—schools where academic subjects are studied in isolation from other disciplines, without any reference to God . . . Reading Where Wisdom May Be Found will help students and scholars gain eternal wisdom by seeing each academic discipline in proper relation to the total discipleship of the Christian mind.”
—Philip Ryken, President, Wheaton College
“Where Wisdom May Be Found has the big picture in mind, a fantastic insight for those who work toward the integration of faith and education. This comprehensive, practical, well-researched reference guide will serve well the educators who seek to shape an effective curriculum for Christian discipleship and global evangelism.”
—Barry H. Corey, President, Biola University
“Where Wisdom Can Be Found proves an impressive and thought-provoking collection—a timely reminder of the depth and rigor through which Christian institutions fulfill their mission of educating the next generation.”
—Michael Le Roy, President, Calvin University
“This highly recommended volume provides one of the best answers I have read to the question, ‘Why is a comprehensive Christian liberal arts education essential for families and the Church?’ . . . Christian education's ultimate purpose is to cultivate eternal wisdom through acquisition of truth found in all the disciplines for the restoration of the imago Dei in God's people.”
—Eugene B. Habecker, President Emeritus, Taylor University
